Life at work, or Death at Work? Who is in charge?

Have you ever felt like the author who said: "the living weep and laugh, the dying just watch time pass by" was talking to you?

It's a very low point in one's life and unfortunate state of mind for anyone in the world. This is especially true for those who are so full of life - to feel so close to 'death' without being anywhere near the physical trauma whatsoever. You might be thinking that this is an uncommon experience. But quite the contrary. It is not an uncommon phenomena, irrespective of gender or the era one is born in, in our global community. The human spirit and minds are now wearing tiresome "life-clothing" in a self-imposed state of developmental inertia.

Whatever does not evolve and grow, eventually begins to decay and die. It is a fundamental law of human nature, a transgression of which has dangerous repercussions. Any one of the 12 million species on our mother Earth, human beings one of them, does not evolve or use its innate creative energy force every moment of the day, it will feel death-like symptoms - unconsciously.

There must always be something, some purpose, some goal, some yet unattained objective for the human mind to grasp and hold on to, rescuing itself from the vast depth of darkness. It is for this reason that the already 'alive' dare not stop in their quest for continual self-improvement, much less those who are yet to actualize even an ounce of their innate potential.

Those who dream life here and now with zest, and dream of life after death, are never likely to fall into inextricable frames of depression held down by an underperforming mind.

No matter who, everyone wants to achieve and create - something, everyday. When one stops to want to innovate and create, journey towards self-inflected death-region of the inner terrain called depressions and stress begins.

Stop. Don't disengage with the inner warrior in your game of life.

Life is a game - play it. Play it with passion. When one plays the inner game with the external sensory world, life begins to feel alive. The bridge between the inner and the external world is what I am most fascinated with. Like any other bridge, it was built long time ago - when I was born. I have realized that the real game of life is on the travels of this bridge.

My journal and views of the world will mostly be seated on this bridge - as a co-architect, engineer, worker, spectator, but mostley as a fellow journeyman - just like you.

This bridge connects my inner world to the many external pathways, highways and destinations. One of those destinations is my work-life. The Place where we all spend more then 50% of our waking life.

I have chosen to spend much of my life to be alive at this destination we call 'work' as the greatest next challenge in my life's journey. Being alive at work, without hesitation, is the greatest mystery I am driven to conquer.

I will attempt to journal as I attempt to conquer this exhilarating mystery and the master formula to the question - What does a Living Organizations feel like?

Want to be fully alive at work? or help create a remarkable work culture that has never been created?

If so, please join me on this journey as we co-create new possibilities for each other where none existed before!

No dream, no goal.

   No goal, no purpose.

      No purpose, life empty.

          Life empty, death nearby.

     MAN             NATURE & SOCIETY

  1. The Creator, God, created the creation. After creating the entire creation, he had one last item he had left to create for the universe to be totally engaged. To help Him complete the task, he summoned an angel. Angel came. The Creator told the angel that He, the Lord, had one last job to do in making of the universe.

He told the angel, “I have left the best for last”. God said, “I have here the real meaning of human life, the treasure of life, the purpose and goal of all this that I have created”. “Because this treasure is valuable beyond description, I want you to hide it. Hide this treasure so well that human beings will know its value to be immeasurable.”

Angel recommended hidden location such as highest mountain top, great desert wilderness, vast reaches of universe. God refused. Finally God said, “Hide treasure of life within the human being. He will look there last and know how precious this treasure is. Yes hide the treasure there”.

  1. This treasure and the search for it are the real goal for me – the life’s journey.
  1. The phenomenal universe is impermanent and constantly changing, evolving, growing, decaying and dying. It goes on endlessly this way – coming, going, dying. That is the nature/society.
  1. Man, who gets attached to the Nature/Society (the phenomenal universe) with all of its changing forms is sure to come to grief in the end. At the same time, the nature/society plays an important role in helping to achieve the realm/state of self-realization/immortal.
  1. The pain and fear of death that are natural to the nature/society (material world) are meant to guide a person the ‘treasure’.
  1. A time comes when the individual realizes that there must be more to existence then this. Then he/she begins to seriously look for an alternative as the ultimate purpose of life.
  1. The treasure has numerous definitions:
    1. Bible calls it the image and likeness of God.
    2. Hinduism calls it Atma or the Real-Self.
    3. Judaism calls it the Light.
    4. This real self is not recognizable by the 5-senses or the human mind. It is hidden treasure within the soul, and dwells in the innermost chamber of the ‘heart’. It is very subtle, unfathomable, and eternal. It existed at beginning of creation, exists now, and will continue to exist in the future.
    5. Because of Man’s ignorance of this highest Truth of inner self, he has created the imbalance in the Nature/Society and in his life.
    6. Eliminating the mind and ego by desensitizing the senses are the primary paths to the Heaven/Enlightenment/Divinity/Realization.
    7. Service to others helps to reduce personal desires, makes one humble, and eliminated the internal devils - pride, ego, hatred, jealousy, lust, etc.
    8. Ultimately my life is about ‘unlearning’ the bad and learning about the ONE. It should be about ‘selflessly serving’ others as His instrument in the dram of life. After knowing and learning all of that, only thing that matters to Him is how well did I practice the unwavering universal Human Values of Truth, Love, Peace, Righteousness, Non-Violence; which ultimately brings me closer to the doors of Heaven – the seat of the universal Soul/Atma.
